Honduras
Located in Central America between Nicaragua
and Guatemala, Honduras has shores on both the
Pacific and Atlantic sides. It is a crossroads where
terrestrial and oceanic travel and shipping can
both be found. It is currently in a struggle for
control between the forces of good and evil, as
God is found by more and more of the people,
setting them free from religion, drugs, and
bondage, while poverty, drug abuse, immorality
and child abuse war against Honduras. The city
of San Pedro Sula, home of La Cosecha, the
largest church in Central America, is on the
forefront of this struggle, with political murders
occurring as foreign drug cartels vie for
dominance in the region, fueled largely by
demand for illicit drugs bound for the United
States market. Religious spirits abound in this
country, and though the people have a zeal for
God, they need solid, biblical teaching to be able
to lay hold of God's promises themselves instead
of having to just get someone to pray for them
every time they have a need. "My people perish
for lack of knowledge because thou (singular)
hast rejected knowledge." Nicolaitanism, the
doctrine of the church hierarchy having the direct
line to God through which the commoners must
pass to gain access, still clings to most of the
members of even the least traditional
denominations. All that is needed to touch off a
revival of the entire region is the common people,
who are willing and ready, to have access to
thorough, sound teaching from God's word so
they can individually and collectively overcome
sin, poverty, and sickness.

Street & Church Ministry
We minister in all kinds of Churches across the nation. We don't care what name is over the door as long as Jesus is whorship there. Our name is Common Ground ministries because, if you believe in the death burial & resurrection of Jesus Christ and he is the only way to the father, then we have somthing in common. We may not believe in all areas alike but the important one we are in agreement so we are brother's & sister's in the Lord.
The heart of the ministry is to see unity in the body of Christ & our other passion is taking the Gosple to the street. We go to where the people are like Mardi Gras, Indy 500, 4th of July in St Louis, and any place were there are large gatherings of people that need Jesus

Prison Ministry
Wayne and Connie have been engaged in the Prison Ministry on a volunteer
basis for over 23 years. They receive no financial remuneration whatsoever for
their work in the prison system, but have had considerable ongoing material
support from Rhema Bible Church.
Women's lives are changed as they hear the Word to start living a new life with
the Lord. Most of the men and women in the prisons lose there family and
friends. Overseas sometimes their whole families have to enter the system with
them. Overseas prison systems are much different then those in the United States.
Prisoners are left with the facts of what they have done and the heart-wrenching
fact of what it has done to their families. They spend the holidays alone. They
have birthdays that no one cares about any longer. Most men and women that
are incarcerated find themselves lost in the prison system. They are always
having to look over their shoulders to try to ensure their safety. They do not feel
that they have anyone to trust in the times when things can happen. This is just
like we that are on the outside; a lot of times we see things and wonder "Where
is a policeman when you need one?" This is the same way it is in the prisons, but
much worse. For this reason most men's and women's lives are at risk and there
is the ever-present possibility of harm being done them.
We are not there to ensure their physical safety but we go to show them that
there is a loving God that does care and wants to set them free from the things
that have them bound.
Around 75% of the men and women in the prison system have been hindered in
their life in many ways by sexual and/or physical abuse and/or drugs. Drugs play
more of an active role these days in the young people who are entering the
system for the first time. It is a heartfelt feeling when one of them finds the Lord
and his mercies. They find that the Lord will be there for them no matter what,
they learn the truth and the truth helps them with their walk inside the prisons
and when they are released.
