Colossians 3:1-2 (KJV)
1 "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 "Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth."
Humph, “if!” That little, two-letter word “if” carries with it some powerful things to be considered. One, IF you have been raised with Christ, what follows is for you; and IF you have NOT, then the promises don't apply to you.
Once I made the decision to follow Jesus, I have been on a whirl-wind adventure, and have become madly in love with God, who is madly in live with me by the way. Even though times have come and gone by me here with circumstances out of my control, my thoughts have always been focused on heaven. Praise God!
My goal in this life is to maintain my relationship, or to stay in tune, with my Heavenly Father. He sent us a promise through the presence and the power of His Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 (KJV)
26 "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."
I believe Jesus sent us this Comforter, which He called the Holy Spirit don’t you?
Father, there is no greater gift that You could have given to us than the third person of the God-head to teach all things that you have prepared for us. We will turn towards the heavens form where our help comes from. In Jesus's name, Amen.
