Abiding in the Vine

John 15:4 (KJV)

4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me."

We use to sing this song back in the day and it would bring lots of joy into our times of praise and worship in our church. Really, I can see the faces of friends in my past sing this with us as I’m writing down these words.

I have found an amazing way of living when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. My strength is abiding in Him.

I still have friends that I went to school with who have never found this love, joy, health, and peace. They are in my prayers today. I pray that they will get every last chance to receive this same love, joy, health, and peace before they draw their last breath. 

Father, I pray that You will give me the power to continually lift up my friends, as well as those that are my enemies, with the conviction and compassion that You have for their lives. Our time here on earth are coming quickly to an end and we need to run this race to the finish line. I will live in You and You in me so I may bear much fruit. In Jesus's name, I pray, Amen.
