Romans 10:13
13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Are you hungry for something that will give you real peace? This kind of peace that you are looking for -- the peace that will last for a lifetime -- this peace cannot be bought with money or be found through doing good things.
Know this, you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold. No, it was with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, the lamb of God who was found without spot and without blemish.
Call on the name of the Lord, and He will rescue you. I heard a preacher say one time that most of the people in the church that night needed to be saved. I can still remember the look on their faces. If looks could kill some of those people had just killed that preacher before he could even explain himself.
The word "saved" carries with it the idea of "being rescued." While preparing to put together the devotionI for today I started feeling anxious and an uneasy nervousness began rising up within me. I was pacing back-and-forth across the floor when my wife, Connie, began praying for me.
In our prayers we called out on the name of the Lord, and the peace of God began to fill the room. The feellings that came to me were cries for people that I know need to be rescued today.
Father, I come before Your Throne of Grace today and lift up my voice for my friends who need Your perfect peace to come now. I break all strongholds over them and I speak peace to rain down. In Jesus's name, Amen.
