Romans 1:11-12 (TPT)
11 "I yearn to come and be face-to-face with you and get to know you. For I long to impart to you the gift of the Spirit that will empower you to stand strong in your faith.
12 "Now, this means that when we come together and are side by side, something wonderful will be released. We can expect to be co-encouraged and co-comforted by each other’s faith!"
I want to share with you about the subject of being encouraged. The Word of God will inspire us to find hope when we feel hopeless. We need the kind of encouragement which will help us to grow and mature in our Christian walk of faith.
I want to be the kind of encourager that will help move us back onto the playing field and finish the race. Sometimes we just need a good, old-fashion pep talk that will inspire a weary team to pick up the ball and run with it again. Amen!
ENCOURAGE: "parakaleo;" the Greek word for encouraged is found 105 times in the New Testament.
This kind of word comes to us more than in the form of a compliment. It will come and support us in gaining confidence as well as helping us develop His character in us.
Father, as we are moved out of discouragement into encouragement, I ask that You speak to our hearts to comfort, strengthen, and move us into the position to receive what we need today. A world delivered through love speaks to us telling us what we need to hear, when we need to hear it, even if it may not be what we think that we need to hear. In Jesus' name Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
