Psalm 34:1(KJV)
34 "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth."
In an article he wrote one Thanksgiving after his wife had gone on to heaven, Reverend Billy Graham said that he was thankful that God would use him to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ around the world. He spoke about the chaotic world that we live in, and mentioned that only Jesus could fix it and fix us. He also made comments that he was grateful for God's forgiveness when he failed Him.
I have been involved in worship for many years now, and I have seen first-hand how praising God blesses the Lord as much as it blesses us, His children. When trouble comes Jesus is just a breath away from bringing you changes that can’t be described in words.
I like this quote made here by Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. Because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.”
Father, I am so grateful that You have allowed me to see so many miracles happen when we start praising Your holy name. You fill my heart with joy as You break the power of the enemy over my life. I come into Your presence with thanksgiving in my heart and give You praise. My attitude is full of contentment, even in those present circumstances I face on a daily basis, knowing that they can not prevail as we storm against Hell’s gates with our weapons of praise. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
