Joshua 1:9
9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go".
I am already receiving reports from the Country of Honduras that are giving God the glory for sparing them from the two hurricanes that went through their nation in the last two weeks. It is really hard to not just get on a plane, go down there, and give them some assistance. There are reports of a third hurricane gaining strength and moving towards them. Don’t give up the fight too soon.
God has it under control, and we are doing what we can from here by sending them money so they can purchase supplies for all of those that have lost everything. Shelters have been set up in many churches to house the homeless and feed them.
I remember once there was a man that got into a confrontation with another inmate at one of the prisons we provide services in. When we saw him he looked pretty bad so we asked him what happened. He replied that he knocked the guy down and thought that he had won the fight so he turned his back on the man to walk away. The man got up and beat him to a pulp. He was so confident that he had one the fight that he let his guard down and it cost him.
Father, we lift up Central America before You in the precious name of Jesus, and we thank You for giving them encouraging words to see them to the end of the fight. You promised us that You would never leave us nor forsake us, and we believe Your Word to be true. We thank You that You are with them and sending them help from the sanctuary. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
