1 Corinthians 15:57-58 (KJV)
57. "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58. "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord."
All of us need to know that we are here for a purpose. Not only are you on this earth for a purpose, but you are in the family that you are in, you are in the household that you are in, you are in the marriage that you are in, and you are in the church that you are in for a specific purpose.
It was not God’s intent to put you here to do nothing. In God’s eyes, no matter who you are, you are somebody.
Verse 57 starts out with the writer thanking God for the victory that we have in Christ Jesus.
We need to realize that we’re in this race for a specific purpose. So. if that statement is true then we have to ask, are we fulfilling that purpose? Or are we finding reasons that will keep us from fulfilling them.
Testimony: The last two weeks we’ve been at the Mardi Gras outreach followed by an assignment down in Ozark, Alabama to finish a project that my twin brother had contracted before he passed away and went to Heaven. I received a call from a friend of mine in Oklahoma just before collecting the final payment..
He said that I was an inspiration to him because of my walking in love no mater what happens. He said that I will always take it on the chin with a smile and keep right on going. Oh boy I was waiting for the punch line!
God was using him to keep me in peace with the bad news that was coming.
Father, thank You for always causing me to be an overcomer in every situation. Thank You for a fresh start. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember what the best is yet to come.
