Isaiah 55:1-3 (ESV)
1 “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
2 "Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 "Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure love for David."
We were at a drug and alcohol program last night. There were seventy men who were hungry for more of God. The message preached was about forgiveness and the men responded to the call by crying out to God in their hurt snd pain that kept them in bondage.
One man had been living with tremendous pain in his legs for years. After he prayed for forgiveness we asked the Lord to heal him. I then asked him if he had any pain and he looked at me with a surprised expression on his face. He then said that all the pain was gone, and he sat down in a chair and cried.
The men were hungry to hear the truth, and God, who is faithful, showed up and answered their prayers. Every one was already saved, but they were caught up in habits and additions. Many got delivered and some even got baptized in the Holy Spirit.
Father, thank You for creating a hunger and a thirst for more of You. I pray that this thirst for You will only increase in the earth as the day of Your return for us is soon coming. Thank You for protecting our family and friends from harm's way. In Jesus's name, amen and amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
