Hebrews 10:24-25
24 "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
25 "not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
We are leaving early tomorrow morning for Indianapolis, Indiana, to meet up with friends from around the country to minister to the racing fans at the Indianapolis 500. This will be my thirty-fourth year for traveling across the country to get there, and my heart is racing with excitement to see everyone.
My heart is also filled with the sorrow of not getting to see family and friends that have already received their citizenship in Heaven. But the love that I have in Christ Jesus sustains me in these bittersweet moments. So it’s off to the races!
The song in my heart for today is “I Worship You.”
"I worship You, Almighty God
There is none like You
I worship You, oh Prince Of Peace
That is what I want to do
I give You praise
For You are my righteousness
I worship You, Almighty God
There is none like You."
Father, my prayers go out today for the families that have lost their children and loved ones in Texas to such a tragic act of violence. I pray for a peace to surround the community in the days ahead. In their moments of desperation and grief, bring them peace and comfort them. I also ask for Your hand of mercy to be on our nation. I ask this in Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
