Hebrews 11:6-7 (KJV)
6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
7 "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."
We just returned from a vacation in Branson, Missouri, where we were able to go to the Sight and Sound Theater and see the story of Noah come to life right in front of us. It was awesome to say the least, but within the message preached to us that day on the stage was a compelling truth that can’t be ignored. I couldn’t but help see how it runs parallel with what is going on in today's modern world.
It seems like everywhere that I direction my attention to, I see history repeating itself. In Genesis 6:7 God saw how wicked and corrupt man had become and regretted creating him. So God commanded Noah to build an ark to preserve his family. If you read the story, he took two of each animal one male and one female. From His punishment of a flood on the earth in Genesis 6:14-21, the rain fell and the floods came for 40 days.
We were in Honduras, and at least two times it rained over 80 to 90 inches in three to four days. Just to witness the devastation that it brought to the country in three days, I can’t even image what 40 days of rain would look like.
Father, there are so many people that don’t believe that You are real or, if they do believe, they don’t understand that You are a rewarder to those who diligently seek You. I pray that they see just how real You are. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best it yet to come.
