Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)
17 "The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing."
This was one of my twin brother's favorite scriptures. Dane was a true worshiper. The thought of the Lord rejoicing over us with singing would give him great pleasure. God loves His children and expresses it here with a picture painted with words. Dane said that he felt the joy of the Lord as He rejoiced over him with singing and with dancing.
Listen to this quote I found on this scripture: “Just this week in my devotional time I was reading Zephaniah 3:17, 'The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save...' The underlying message for me was that God loves us just as we are. I love the thought that He takes undeserved delight in us. We do not have to do anything to earn it. It is a gift.”
God, the one who created the universe, is in the midst of us today. Right now, praise His name forever!
Wow! Now that is so important for us to grasp ahold of right away, don’t you think? God is mighty to save us. We rejoice over Him protecting us, and He rejoices over us with joy.
He is mighty to save us. The enemy that has come against you is right now, in this very moment, fleeing from you in seven different directions. Praise God. Shouts of victory are ringing throughout the heavens as God sings over you.
Father, I thank You for singing over us, Your children of Grace, with grace ringing across the heavens. I will forever be greatfull for You tender love that you have expressed over us. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
