Thinking about yesterday's devotional I looked up Psalm 46:1-2 in The Passion Translation. When I began to put this devotional together it came from a message that I preached on 08/15/2020 during our Saturday evening service that I titled “God is on Our Side.” Check this our: I went to this chapter in The Passion Bible and the heading came up like this, (now remember this came AFTER I gave my message a title) the chapter was titled “God on Our Side.” Don’t you love it when God confirms the message He is speaking to you? Listen, friend, God is not only speaking this message to me, but He is speaking it to you as well.
"God on Our Side"
Psalms 46:1-2 (TPT)
1 God, you’re such a safe and powerful place to find refuge!
You’re a proven help in time of trouble—more than enough and always available whenever I need you.
2 "So we will never fear even if every structure of support were to crumble away. We will not fear even when the earth quakes and shakes, moving mountains and casting them into the sea."
Just knowing that You are a safe and powerful place to find our refuge in, and to have You prove too us over and over again that You will help us in our times of trouble. Knowing that You are not just enough, but more than enough, I can hardly comprehend it! Praise the Lord! I start getting excited when I read the points that He made here just in Verse One. God is always available when ever you need Him.
Thank You Father, for being there for us when the circumstances in our lives would want to cause us to get into fear. Lord, there are so many people out there that are dealing with the loss of their support financially and their dreams are beginning to crash before them. But we know that You are more than enough to help us because You are on our side. Thank You for being available in our time of need. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
