The phrase "great is thy faithfulness" comes from the Old Testament Book of Lamentations 3:23. These exact words occur in both the King James Bible and the Revised Standard Version.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV/RSV)
22 "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 "They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness."
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with Thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be
"Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me"
Thank you, Father, for Your mercies being new for us every morning. Today is a fresh new day that is filled with your compassion for us. We are glad, and we rejoice in You. In Jesus's name, Amen and Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
