How Do We Fight

November 10, 2020

As we spoke yesterday, this fight we are in is not against people, flesh and blood. No! The Scriptures say it is against principalities, and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world. It is against spiritual wickedness in high places. You are no match doing this in the flesh.

So how do we weigh in on this conflict? The Scriptures in Ephesians 6:10-12 remind us that the very first thing that we need is to find where our strength comes from, and that is found in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Ephesians 6:10 (KJV)

10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might."

This is a good testimony I found about Billy Graham: He said that he often grew frightened before preaching in great open-air stadiums and sports arenas, but he learned to close his eyes and repeat this verse found in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (NKJV).

When I am facing a difficult situation in my life, I begin to search for verses in the Bible that fit the problem and then stand on them. If this fight we are in is a spiritual one, then why can we not go to our Heavenly Father for the answers that we desperately need in the moment.

Father, You have all the answers to our problems, so we come to You asking for the way through and the way out of the problems that confront us today. Then we can have a strong foundation to stand on as we move into position to face our enemies. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
