I love this song:
"You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart
With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in You
I will trust in You
Let the weak say
I am strong
In the strength of the Lord"
As we prepared ourselves to leave Texas to go back home to Oklahoma, we stopped by a gas station on the way to the airport. A young man ran to the door in front of us and said, "Come on in, young man," to Dane and I. It caused me to laugh with him, and it started up a conversation between us. I guessed him to be around twenty-five.
As I was standing at the register to pay for my drink and snack, I motioned to the cashier to put what the young man had on my ticket. He refused to allow me to pay for his drink and insisted on paying for mine and Dane's stuff as well. Now this may seem insignificant to you at the moment, but to me it was a big "I got your back" from the Lord.
Even in the small affairs of life the Lord is watching us and making arrangements to provide for us. We need to get use to it because God will do more than we can imagine or think that He will do. So get ready for it.
Thank You, Father, for being my God. I put all my trust in You. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
