Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)
9 "Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
10 "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11 "and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
I don’t know how many times that I have found myself in trouble and just the mention of the name of Jesus brought peace to the middle of a violent storm. I don’t know how it makes you feel when you hear the name of Jesus but, for me, wow, it is the sweetest name that I could ever say.
I wrote a song back in the mid '80s titled “In the Name of Jesus.” It goes like this:
“When you hear the name of Jesus
Can you feel the power
And when He breaths the words of life
Softly in your ears
I can feel your power Lord
Moving throughout the land
And in the presence of the Lord
I’ll fall down on my knees
And pray as a child would pray
Humbly I will serve thee
Oh Lord through your grace
You have set me free"
Now I ask if you believe that Jesus is your Savior and can you feel the presence of the loving Spirit inside of you? And if you know not of this Love that Jesus shown through His precious blood, then you must pray as a child would pray. Humbly, you must serve thee, Oh Lord through your grace you have set your people free in the name of Jesus.
To some His name is just a slang word, and to others it just a curse word. But not to me! It is the most wonderful name that is full of power! Praise God. So I give You praise, Father, and I bow down at Your feet, Lord Jesus. Amen and amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
