11 "You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand."
The theme for men's retreat with No Greater Love Ministries under Fred Bishop was "The Great Adventure." The song we used was written by Steven Curtis Chapman:
“Started out this morning in the usual way
Chasing thoughts inside my head
I thought I had to do today
Another time around the circle
Try to make it better than the last
I opened up the Bible
And I read about me
Said I'd been a prisoner
And God's grace had set me free
And somewhere between the pages,
It hit me like a lightning bolt
I saw a big frontier in front of me
And I heard somebody say, 'Let's go!'
"Saddle up your horses
We've got a trail to blaze
Through the yonder of God's amazing grace
Let's follow our leader
Into the glorious unknown
This is the life like no other
This is The Great Adventure"
I’m am so ready for something really big to happen this weekend in St Louis, Missouri, so please keep us lifted up in your prayers. The devil is a defeated foe. Praise God! If God be for us, then who can be against us? So, let's go!
Thank You, Father, for Your direction in going to, in the middle of, and coming back home again. Thank You for watching over our families and friends while we are on this deployment. We ask for favorable weather and good health for all of the volunteers. Thank You for favor with all of those that we come in contact with. In Jesus's name we pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
