Life-giving Waters

November 30, 2021

Proverbs 18:4

4 “A person’s words can be life-giving water; words of true wisdom are as refreshing as a bubbling brook.”

Every morning when  I wake up my mind is set on finding out what the Lord has in store for me. Yesterday was no different except I woke up dreaming about a conversation I was having with the Lord. I did not hear the words that were spoken by Him, but I felt refreshed and restored. They were words that brought life to my soul and encouraged me.

My trip to Honduras left me feeling tired from all the activities there, but I have never felt more refreshed after coming home than on this assignment. Souls were brought into the Kingdom of Light and faith has been restored to a country sitting in darkness.

I used to sing this song all the time back in Missouri.

"All who are thirsty

All who are weak

Come to the fountain

Dip your heart in the stream of life

"Let the pain and the sorrow

Be washed away

In the waves of His mercy

As deep cries out to deep

"Come, Lord Jesus, come

Come, Lord Jesus, come"

Father, thank You for all that You do for us.  I may not understand everything, but I do know what love feels like, and it feels good. I pray for all of my friends struggling with drama in their lives to be encouraged in fulfilling the plans You have for their lives. Thank You for Your words that bring strength in the middle of chaos. I pray this in Jesus's name, Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
