Psalm 25:1-2 (KJV)
1 "Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me."
We use to sing this song in church many years ago:
"My life is in You, Lord,
My strength is in You, Lord
My hope is in You, Lord
In You, it's in You.
"I will praise You with all of my heart.
I will praise You with all of my strength
With all of my life, and all of my strength.
All of my hope is in You."
This song is simple, but it holds within it keys to unlock the gift of joy in your life. The season of Christmas is quickly bearing down on us and, before you know it, we will embrace it with a message of hope or one of hopelessness.
The more that I think about this holiday the more I start to get all uptight and the real joy of the season starts to get away from me. But the more that I look to Jesus the more my soul is refreshed and I feel His strength flowing through me.
I pray, Father, for all the lives that have been shattered with the storms raging through their homes and towns last week. I pray for peace and strength to wrap their arms around them and comfort them in Jesus's name. My trust is in you Lord, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
