Psalm 34:8-9 (KJV)
8 "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him 9 "O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him."
Testimony: My life, like most people's, has had some ups and downs along the way, but overall I have been content with the awesomeness of many blessings that outweigh those moments of disappointment.
What the devil meant for my harm, God turned it to the good. Can I get a witness, or an amen from somebody?
The trip we just took to Indianapolis, and then to Southern Illinois, was filled with the goodness of God. From start to finish, from difficulty to victory, it left me with a satisfied conclusion that the Lord is good -- all the time.
We were sitting down at a table with a few good friends at a restaurant in Du Quoin, Illinois called "The Corner Pocket." Our waitress seemed to be a just a little distracted and kind of short tempered. We were praying for her under our breath and she seemed to quiet down some by the end of our dinner there.
During our meal, we were recalling the events that had takin place while at the Indy 500 the weekend before. When it comes to talking about Jesus not a one of us are a bit shy, or even quiet about sharing it with one another.
After we left Illinois and returned back to Oklahoma, Dave called me and said that he was at that restaurant the following weekend. The waitress told him how much our conversation encouraged her and lifted up her spirit. Dave made sure that she was saved. Then she said that she wanted to get back to church and would be attending his church that Sunday morning! Praise God!
Thank You, Father, for Your goodness and Your loving kindness that You have given to us. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessing on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
