On Our Way Home

Proverbs 23:26 (KJV)

“My son, give me your heart, and let your eyes delight in my ways.”

When you give your heart to Him, you can count on Him to guide you and direct your steps. We had to stop on the way home because the ice got too bad on the road for us to continue any further. We did a 180 on a four-lane highway and almost got hit by a big-rig truck. The Lord sent two different people to help us get turned around, and then one of them followed us to the hotel to make sure we got there alright.

After getting settled in to our rooms, we were looking for something to eat. The only place open around us was a big Shell station, so we put some chains on the tires of our van and drove down there. The store had been really picked over, but we finally found something to get us through untill the morning.

The lady behind the counter came out to where we were standing at the door. To me it  seemed so apparent that she was drawn by His Spirit, and she prayed with us to receive Jesus into her heart. People coming into the store wer giving us strange looks, but the lady lit up like a light bulb. As we walked out of the store she keep thanking us for praying for her.

We had prayed earlier that God would directed us to those divine appointments, and God heard our prayers.

Thank You, Father, for all that you do for us, and then You allow us to reach one more lost soul along the way! I will rest well in Your presence because You are faithful and merciful to those who have given You their hearts. In Jesus's name, Amen.
