A good friend of mine posted on Facebook yesterday saying, “Your sins have been forgiven so be encouraged.” Let these words sink deep into your thinking.
Psalm 37:23-24 (NKJV)
23 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord And He delights in his way.
24 "Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;"
In our Tuesday morning Bible study our topic was on unanswered prayer. We discovered how when we look at ourself as being unworthy that would keep us away from God's promise to hear us when we pray. Being in the prison ministry for over thirty years I’ve noticed that the person who was incarcerated felt like God would not hear their prayers because they were not worthy to go
into His presence to talk with Him. So they wanted me, who they thought that I was worthy, to take their petition before Him so they would get their request answered.
Jesus is the one who is worthy to take your request to the Lord. And Jesus made it possible for you to go boldly before the throne room of grace and obtain mercy.
John 16:23 (Amplified)
23 "In that day you will not [need to] ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name [as My representative], He will give you."
Thank You, Father, for forgiving us and restoring our relationship with You. Thank You for clearly preparing our steps in those times of trouble. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen
