Luke 10:38-42 (ESV)
38 "Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house.
39 "And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching.
40 "But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.”
41 "But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things,
42 "but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
So we must stay sensitive to God's presence and His assignments for us here.
Update: We are halfway through our assignment here in Honduras. The churches in Tela are under more fear than in San Pedro Sula, but you can still feel a hunger and a thirst for a move of God in this place. Your prayers are felt here, and we thank you for them. We are moving forward and the resistance towards us is greater here, but the word says in 1 John 4:4: "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Witchcraft is practiced more here so we see the effect that it has on the people. The churches need the encouragement of God's love and to know who they are in Christ. Even though we were not able to lay hands on anyone in our service last night we still saw hands go up for prayer, but there were few in comparison to other churches.
Father, our hearts go out to those that are caught up in fear in this country. We break the strongholds that are trying to stop You from setting these people free. Thank You for helping us stay sensitive to the call here. In Jesus's name, Amen,
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
