Step By Step You Lead Me

February 11, 2021

"Step By Step," written by Rich Mullins:

"Oh God, You are my God

And I will ever praise you

Oh God, You are my God

And I will ever praise you

"I will seek You in the morning

And I will learn to walk in Your ways

And step by step You'll lead me

And I will follow You all of my days"

There are those special songs that seem to just come up out of your spirit, songs that bring with them memories of the good times you’ve had with brothers in the Lord. I may not have written this song, but I can really relate to it as I look back on my life and reminisce over those moments when God would confront me with the truth of who He is in my life.

Ephesians 5:8

8 “For once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light."

Colossians 1:13

13 “He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”

Thank You, Father, for delivering me out of those dark places in my life, and for setting my feet on the rock of my salvation, being fully engulfed in Your marvelous light. With each step that I have taken, You have led me by Your commands and I choose to obey them willingly. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
