Matthew 28:19 - 20
19 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 "and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
We were at Indianapolis, Indiana, for our annual Indianapolis 500 mission trip with our friends at No Greater Love Ministries from the twenty-seventh to the thirtieth of May. Our theme for the camp was on how praise and worship work together as weapons of defense.
2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
4 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;"
Do you give much thought to the act of praise as being more than the way we come to enter into a worship service? Praise, used as a weapon, can strike fear into the hearts of our enemies and fill the sons of God’s army with faith that has been activated. Glory to God!
In the Old Testament they would send out the worshipers as the first line of defense singing, “For the Lord is good, and His mercy indures forever, and ever.” Over and over again they would repeat how good our God is, and then the angels of the Lord would would send messages to the enemy, causing confusion in their camps so that they would even kill each other.
Father, You are so good, and Your mercies endure forever, and ever. Praise Your Holy name. We the redeemed say so! In Jesus's name, Amen and Amen.
Blessings on the journey and remember that the best is yet to come.
