The Gifts of the Spirit are supernatural.
1. Three spiritual gifts reveal something;
2. Three spiritual gifts do something; and
3. Three spiritual gifts say something.
The three gifts that do something are sometimes referred to as power gifts. They are what we will focus on for the the next few days. The Gift of Faith, the Gifts of Healings, and the Working of Miracles are found in 1 Corinthians 12: 9-10.
1 Corinthians 12: 9-10
9 "To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 "To another the working of miracles;…"
The Gift of Faith is not the same as saving faith. It is a special kind of faith.
Ephesians 2:8
8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
Romans 10:17
17 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
This Gift of Faith is supernatural and comes from a manifestation of the Spirit of God that empowers a believer to do impossible things through faith that is beyond "saving" faith and the faith that "comes by hearing."
Father, show me how to share how this Gift of Faith works. It’s only through You that this is even possible to believe. To yoYu be the glory! In Jesus's name, Amen.
