The Gifts That Speak

January 10, 2022

1 Corinthians 12:10 (KJV)

10 "To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:"

Looking back over the last two weeks we have discussed two of the three categories of the nine Gifts of the Spirit.

Three revelation gifts -- gifts that reveal something: 1) The Word of Wisdom; 2) The Word of Knowledge; and 3) The Discerning of spirits.

Three power gifts -- gifts that do something: 1) The Gift of Faith; 2. The Workings of Miracles; and 3) The Gifts of Healings.

This week we are going to take at look at the three utterance or inspirational gifts:  1) Prophecy; 2) Divers Kinds of Tongues; and 3) Interpretation of Tongues.

First, we need to see that the Gift of Prophecy will be considered to be the most important of the three. The reason is that it takes the other two inspirational gifts, Divers Kinds of Tongues, and the Interpretation of Tongues to equal this one gift.

1 Corinthians 14:5 (KJV)

5 “I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.”

Father, thank You for Your gifts that You have given to us and that are to be used to glorify You. I wish more than anything to bring glory Your name and not shame. I pray that I can bring light to these gifts through the inspiration that You have given to other men of God. In Jesus's name I pray, Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
