The Word, the Name, the Blood: Part Two
March 22, 2022
Philippians 2:9
9 "There is no name above the name of Jesus. Every name that is named has to bow to the name of Jesus."
Some of my text comes from a good friend of mine who's name is Larry Ollison.
"Let me say to you that every name shall bow. 'Diabetes' is a name and it has to bow to the name of Jesus. Sickness has to bow to the name of Jesus. Disease has to bow to the name of Jesus. Poverty is just a name, and they all have to bow to the name of Jesus.
"The Scriptures tell us over and over and over again–it’s by the name. When Peter and John were arrested in Acts Chapter 4, the religious leaders told them this: 'Stop preaching about that name! Don’t speak the name.'
"Why do you think they wanted them to stop speaking in that name? Because there’s power in that name. Come on, let's praise His holy name!
"One teaching in the Bible that has been overlooked by many in the church is the power of the blood of Jesus.
"One major denomination put out a new version of the Bible a few years ago and omitted fifteen references to the blood of Jesus!"
The devils tremble at the name of Jesus and the power of the blood stops them dead in their tracks!
For the rest of this week we’re gonna focus on the power of the Word of God. Then we’re gonna focus on the power in the name of Jesus. Finally, we’re going to focus on the power that comes through the blood of Jesus.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, by His Word and through His blood, we declare to the enemies of God, that every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, Amen and amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
