Hebrews 11:13-16 ESV
13 "These all died in faith, not having received the things promised, but having seen them and greeted them from afar, and having acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.
14 "For people who speak thus make it clear that they are seeking a homeland.
15 "If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return.
16 "But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city."
My father always said that he was going to heaven in the rapture. When he passed away I had some questions about what happened that I wanted to ask the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (KJV)
16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 "Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
Some people say that there is no rapture because the word is not in the Bible. So for those that have a hard time with that let's say it this way, “we who are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.” If you believe in Jesus then you will. If you don’t, you won’t.
Thank You, Father, for a future worth waiting for. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
