Accept God's Timing:
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”
God will speak to us and fill our heart with hopes and dreams such that we should see certain things take place within our lifetime. But He may not allow us to see the time that it will take place. I have been relieved that God hasn’t shown me everything all at once if you know what I mean.
We are in New Orleans at Mardi Gras at the moment, and the theme of our camp is dealing with fear. I can get pretty frustrated sometimes working out the program and h not knowing the timing that goes with it. So I am learning to just cast that care over on the Lord and let Him work out all my problems. It’s amazing to see how quickly His peace and joy flood my soul when I do that.
The Bible gives us many illustrations of how, even though we don’t see the fulfillment come right away, it will come if we don’t get frustrated and quit. Daniel's prayer took twenty-one days before he got the answers to his prayer as found in the book of Daniel 10:2-3. Joseph, in the book of Genesis, waited for many years for the fulfilling of the dream God had given him. He was falsely accused and thrown into prison before he saw the fulfillment of what God had shown him that he would do.
How long have you waited for God to answer the dreams that he has placed into your heart? It’s all about God’s timing.
Thank you, Father, for giving us patience to wait. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
