Ephesians 6:10-12 (KJV)
10 "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Testimony: A few days before I was going to graduate from Rhema back in 1990 a car cut me off in an intersection, and then the driver give me a pretty nasty jester with his hand. I chased him down the street for four blocks, and, as I looked in my rear view mirror, I saw my daughter and one of her school friends riding in the back seat of my van. The anger that rose up at that moment caused me to lose my temper, but God reminded my that this is not how I should handle this.
Then God spoke to me saying, "What are you going to do when you catch up with him?" I’m just days away from graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center and I’m chasing this guy down the street. Then the thought went through my mind, "How is it going to look for me to walk down to get my diploma with one big black eye." I let the guy get away and started to calm down.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 (KJV)
9 "Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools."
Father, thank You for speaking to my heart and reminding me that the fight we are in is a spiritual one. I am so glad that You are the one that gives us the ability to see just were these attacks come from. Thank You that You give us the ability to see that the devil uses people to get to us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
