2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (KJV)
4 "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
5 "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
One man said this about this scripture, “These are fighting words! Or them’s fighting words...for us! Amen?"
The Word of God is where we find our strength to fight against unbelievable odds, and come out victorious and not the victim.
Ephesians 6:11
11 "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
Testimony: Elisha was attacked by six men who shot him seven times and left for dead. His father asked us to pray that Elisha would leave the gangs and the drugs, and come back home to God. It never occurred to us that this would be the road for him to come back to Christ.
He heard his father preach a message that Sunday about putting on the armor found in Ephesians and, when he saw the men approaching him, he was praying this scripture over himself. Hours later they got him to the hospital and the only bullet that penetrated his body went through the front of his neck and out the back at the bottom of his skull.
They found six bruises on his chest but nothing penetrated the skin. They said it looked like he was wearing a bullet proof vest. He was! He was waring the Breastplate of Righteousness! Can somebody say "Amen!" I met him years later and he kept hugging me and thanking us for our prayers.
Father, thank You for Your word that brings us life in Jesus' name, Amen
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
