Remember in yesterday’s devotion we got to the river at Bennett Springs. We went to the upper pool by the highway, and at the end of the pool there was a double stump next to the cistern going to the pool below. It was right next to a big field across from a laundromat.
When I saw how this place was so much like the description of the place in Isaiah, it made me aware that the Lord was trying to get my attention. It was not in the place by the river that God showed me. No, it was His presence leading me out of the darkness of disappointment. It moved me into a marvelous revelation filled with peace.
In that moment, I had lost my focus and got distracted with all of the stuff going on in my life. Today, in the year of 2020, we can easily get distracted by all of the stuff that is going on around us and lose our focus as well. Fear is running ramped throughout the whole world, but there is a strength that runs with force throughout the body of Christ. Stay focused, and be bold, and be strong, for the Lord our God is with thee.
Don't be afraid because God has not forgotten you. Pay close attention to what He is saying to you. In the time I sat there waiting for the man to show up I never felt so focused before. I was hearing the Words of the Lord and I was taking action to accomplish my mission. My lack of confidence in my own abilities were being reinforced with an anointing to get 'er done.
Father, it seems like it is so easy for me to get distracted, but You have a unique way of fine tuning me and then refocusing me as You pour out Your Spirit in abundance upon me. I pray that today will be the beginning of a new start in the body of believers to launch out into the depths of Your will for us in finishing our race. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
