What Causes You to Get Distracted: Part three
December 2, 2020
I will pick up where I left off in yesterday’s testimony:
"That’s it! I’m not going any further until I hear from God." I said, “Good idea.” Then he opened up his Bible and started reading. After a few minutes of silence in the truck, he started laughing and said, Listen to this," and started reading to me out loud:
Isaiah 7:3 (KJV)
3 "Then said the Lord unto Isaiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shearjashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool in the highway of the fuller's field;"
He pointed out to me that there were several layers of pools filled with trout, one of them being an upper pool that was up by the highway... next to a big field. So I forgot all about needing to make any kind of money because I was now being sent off on a mission from God.
Remember in Verse Four it said that there was a double stump (two firebrands) at end of the conduit and to go tell that man to fear not. So off we went to Bennett Springs so that we could find this man tell him what the Lord said. I waited for over two hours for this person to show up before it finally dawned on me that I was the man the Lord wanted me to tell not to fear! LOL!
In tomorrow's devotional I will explain what this all means. There just isn’t enough time to get it all in one devotion.
Father, thank You for the words of encouragement that You send us from Your written Word. I want to thank You for giving us the wisdom to discern what You are saying directly to us in times that seem so desperate to us. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
