What Do You Want Me to Say

June16, 2021

I was on my way to the post office, and I asked the Lord what He wanted me to speak on for our Saturday evening service. I was already overwhelmed with the pressures of the day, and I was clueless on what to speak about. As I came out of the post office and I heard this man say, "Look! It's Common Ground Ministries!"

I did not recognize the man, who is was sitting in his van, but I walked up to him and shook his hand. I could feel the presence of the Lord all over me as he began to remind me of three major events in my life that have happened over the years. Here is the first thing he said:

He quoted Isaiah 61:1 to me saying, "Remember when the Lord spoke these words over your life?

Isaiah 61:1

1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;”

He spoke about how these same words were spoken over the Lord in the Gospel of Luke 4:18 and then concluded in verse 19 with, "to preach the acceptable year of the Lord." I felt the anointing beginning to activate itself in me as he spoke these encouraging words.

Over the next two days I want to speak into your life what the Lord spoke into mine. Maybe your circumstances are different than mine, but a close encounter with God can restore His vision for you as it has done for me.

Father, I ask that you give me the right words to speak so they will light a fire in the body of Christ that will spread across this nation and across the world. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
