Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV)
14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15 "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
It doesn’t seemed to matter where we go, we are always seen as a light in a dark place. We have seen the Lord use us in places that give God glory and honor even in the worst of circumstances all around the world. In these times of unbelievable trails we are seeing people who are looking for answers that will bring them a peace of mind, and you as a born again believer have what they are looking for.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said that we are the salt of the earth. He encourages us to be the light of the world. The message of Jesus Christ should be told to everyone from farmers, fisherman, tax collectors, to all walks of life. From the remotest village in obscure parts of the word to huge cities all across the planet; let the light shine.
Look at this scripture as a prayer for us:
Ephesians 2:4-10 NASB
4 "But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 "even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 "and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 "so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus."
Can I get an amen from somebody?
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
