Stay humble, my friend, when you begin to see all of this power that God is going to unleash upon the earth. God wants to be able to use you when it is time. So stay alert, always looking for Him, and rely on Him to get you through the difficult times ahead.
Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
22 "Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee:
He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV)
6 "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."
The word "casting" carries with it the idea that you are "throwing a heavy burden" unto the Lord. It is like a weight that is so heavy you cannot carry it, so you cast it upon the back of an animal to carry it for you. This burden will be impossible for you to carry on your own anyway.
1 Peter 5:8-11 (KJV)
8 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9 "Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10 "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11 "To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."
Father, we are praying that You set us into position to fight the good fight of faith. We know that it is not by our power, or by our might, but it is by Your Spirit only that will cause us to triumph. In Jesus's name, Amen.
