You can make confessions all day long, but until you put that faith into action you won’t receive much from it. When you put faith with the words that you speak there is an amazing thing that happens, Praise God.
Listen to a word that we hear quoted a lot. It’s found in the book of Hebrews, Chapter 11:6:
6 "And without faith it is impossible to please God..."
This is normally where we stop quoting what He said here but keep on reading.
6 "...because anyone who approaches Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."
In over 30 years of preaching in the prisons, I have found that most of the inmates are afraid to approach the Father on their own. They find it hard to except that God will hear, and answer, their prayers because of all the things they have done in their life before they asked Christ to come into their lives. They may even believe that God exists, but they don’t think that He will reward them. So they ask me to pray for them because they think that I will get my prayers answered for them easier.
If God exist, and He does, then why won’t we approach Him by faith believing that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. What does it mean to "earnestly seek the Lord?" You seek Him with "a sincere and intense conviction: seriously.”
Father, in the name of Jesus, help us to come to You with an intense conviction, knowing that You love us unconditionally. I thank You that You answer our prayers because we come to You in faith believing that You will reward us, and that You are pleased with our faith in Your word. Strengthen us in our weakness, in Jesus's name, Amen.
