Getting Ready

February 9, 2021

Matthew 24:44 (KJV)

44 "Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh."

1.How are you running your race?

2.Are you on the starting line of life?

3.Or coming up to the finish line?

To take your place within this race requires that you pay special attention to the rules of engagement. You don’t play basketball by playing with football rules or you will be hit with a penalty, and then sit on the sidelines untill you learn to follow the rules.

Jesus is coming back sooner than we may think, and we need to be preparing ourselves so that we can finish this race well.

We are not taking about working our way into heaven because the word says in Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV):

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God

9 "Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Christ Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and I am on my way to my heavenly reward! Praise God! Because of what Jesus did through His death, and resurrection from the dead, this race I'm taking about here today has to do with who you are now, and who you are becoming while competing in your race.

Thank You, Father, for giving us a clear vision of the rules that it takes to run this race together with one another. Not that this race is a competition with one another, but it is learning to run in the completion of us being formed into Your image. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
