Ephesians 2:1-2 (KJV)
1 "And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.
2 "Where in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the children of disobedience..."
The devil had a plan for your life, and it wasn’t a good one either. Nope, he intended on destroying you. His plan was to make you look like a nobody when he knows himself that you are a child of a king. HA! He was taken totally by surprise when Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, died for you. The only begotten Son of the most high God laid down His life for you! Can I get an "Amen?"
John 15:13 (KJV)
13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
Quickened -- defined in the Bible:
1a: to make alive; revive
1b: to cause to be enlivened; stimulate.
2 archaic:
2a: kindle
2b: to cause to burn more intensely.
Do you get what He is saying here, Church? You have been made alive, oh Child of God! The devil, and I don’t care what level this devil may be, even if he is the power over darkness he is no match for God. You have been given authority over him and all his demons of hell. HA, HA, HA!
Father, awaken Your children to rise up and take ahold of Your plan for their lives. Thank You for reminding us that we are called Your friend, not a lost caused. Help us spend more time looking at ourselves in Your image and not the prince of darkness. In Jesus's name, Amen.
