Psalm 91:1 (KJV )
1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
When we dwell in the secret place it does not mean we just visit there. No, it means that we live there. When I go home at night, I feel comfortable in the presence of my family. We have had a lot of those times of trouble come at us, but in my home I declare it as a time out zone.
The Bible says that we shall abide under the shadow of the almighty. Here is the definition of "abide" as a transitive verb:
1: to bear patiently: TOLERATE
b: to endure without yielding: WITHSTAND
abide the onrush of the enemy
2: to wait for: AWAIT
I will abide the coming of my Lord.
Psalm 27:5 (KJV)
5 “For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock."
I can't tell you how many times trouble has hunted me down, but when it found me I was dwelling or living in God's presence. There is a peace that I find hard to articulate as I begin to abide, or stand patiently, in that secret place.
Father, thank You for giving us a place to live in You, a place where the homeless find a home to dwell in. As we move from victory to victory thank You for giving us the ability to wait on You with patience. In Jesus's name we pray, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
Thanks for letting me share about clowns with your group. What a great group of folks you have at the July 4 Fair in St. Louis! Thanks again, In His Grip, Jim
