Ephesians 6:13-14 (KJV)
13 "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness..."
Do you remember this old song?
"Standing on the promises of God
Standing on the promises of Christ my King
Through eternal ages let his praises ring
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing
Standing on the promises of God
"Standing, standing
Standing on the promises of God my Savior
Standing, standing
I'm standing on the promises of God
"Standing on the promises I cannot fall
Listening every moment to the Spirit's call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all
Standing on the promises of God."
Father, thank You for giving us the power to stand firm upon Your promises. As one man said it, “hold your ground, and defend your territory against the enemy.” We submit ourselves to You, and then we resist the devil. Our defenses are found within in Your Word, so we put on the armor that you have given to us. In Jesus's name, Amen.
So, my friends, rejoice; for the steps of a righteous man are ordered by God. Give Him your all, and praise His Holy name.
Blessings on the journey, and remember that the best is yet to come.
