John 14:8 (KJV)
8 "Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us."
Today I want to look at staying in touch with the Father. God has made it possible for us to talk with Him and for Him to talk with us. He has made Himself available anytime and anywhere. All that we need to do is stop for a moment and listen to His counsel
John 14:9 (KJV)
9 "Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?"
Have you ever asked the Lord a question and then immediately He answers you? Our normal response for the most part would be, “Is that really You, Lord?” I think that sometimes we react in disbelief that God actually answers us.
The more I read the Bible the easier it is for me to recognize Him and to hear His voice. Jesus came as a man, and walked as man among us, to show us how we are to follow in His foot steps. When He says that He will take care of us and give us peace instead of sorrow, we can trust Him.
John 10:27-28 (KJV)
27 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 "And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
Father, thank You for loving us and giving us a road map to help us maneuver through life’s challenges with confidence in Your plan for our lives. I want to know more about You and to stay in touch with You more closely. In Jesus's name, Amen.
Blessings on the journey, and remember the best is yet to come.
