To Another Discerning of Spirits

December 27, 2021

Discerning of Spirits is the third Revelation Gift that reveals something to us by way of supernatural insight into the spirit world.

Take a look again at  Verses 7-10 in 1 Corinthians 12.

1 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 "The manifestations of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”

8 "For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit.

9 "To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 "To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits;

Discern means to perceive by seeing or hearing something in the natural realm as well as the spiritual realm.  In the book of Acts 27 Paul admonished them "not to sail at this time" because he "perceived."

Acts 27:10

10 “And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.”

By praying, fasting, and breaking bread together he encouraged the men to believe. Even though they lost the cargo and the ship, not one life was lost.

Father, in the days to come I pray that You will show us how these gifts will prepare us to fight the good fight of faith. Thank You, Father, that Connie is in Your hands as she goes through  her surgery today.  Thank You for the strength that You are giving me today. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Blessings on the journey, and remember  that the best is yet to come.
