What is discernment? Here is what it is NOT: it is not a gift that you possess and control it at your will. It is as the Spirit wills that you see with it. And is not about seeing just demons or evil spirits but you can see angels as well.
With the passing of my twin brother, I wish that I could have talked with him at least one more time. In a dream he appeared to me and was inviting me to go with him to smoke a cigarette. We both stopped smoking years ago so it was a no-brainer that the dream was not from God.
So how do I know that? I don’t need to talk to Dane to know where he is at. He was born again, filled with the Spirit of God, and is in heaven as we speak.
Romans 10:9
9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Here is what the Bible says about talking to the dead.
1 Chronicles 10:13-14 (ESV)
14 "So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance.
14 "He did not seek guidance from the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse."
Father, it is my desire to see Dane again, and I know that I will because Your word says so. I trust Your Word and my faith is built up in Your word. I am grateful for all of Your promises which are true. In Jesus's name, Amen and Amen.
Update on Connie: she came through the surgery and is recovering well. Thank you for all your prayers. Keep them coming please.
